Mühlbacher Klause
Place: Rio di Pusteria, Vandoies/Val di Fundres
The historical fortress of Mühlbacher Klause was a frontier between the landholdings of the Gorizian and Tyrolean Nobility, then later on it was a customs barrier, a hunting castle and a defence fortress in the Tyrolean Freedom battles of 1809.
The historical hermitage of the 15th century, situated on the west side of Val Pusteria, is the landmark of the community of Rio di Pusteria.
